Mendon Vernal Pool Flooded in Spring 2013

Metacomet Land Trust is sponsoring a Vernal Pool Walk  as part of the Town of Mendon’s 350^th celebrations on Sunday, April 23^rd at 12:00 noon at the Meadow Brook Uplands, in Mendon MA.

The walk will be lead by Jennifer Carlino of Mendon, who is experienced in the identification of vernal pool life and is licensed to trap aquatic life. Jennifer is currently the Conservation Agent in the Town of Norton, and serves as president of the Mass Association of Conservation Commissions and the Mass Society of Municipal Conservation Professionals.

This exploration will include approximately 2 miles of walking, with some steep elevation changes. Polarized sun glasses will help you see some of the life in the vernal pool. No dogs permitted.
