Charles River Meadowlands Initiative Public Meeting in Franklin

The Charles River Meadowlands Initiative (www.charlesrivermeadowlands.org) is presenting a public information and input night, in cooperation with the Bellingham Planning and Zoning Department from 6:30 to 9 pm on Thursday, April 11 at the Meeting Room, of the King Street Fire Station, Franklin (enter the parking lot from Constitution Blvd, meeting room entrance is on King Street side of building).  The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be an opportunity for the public to look at mapping developed by BETA Group, a consultant hired through a special state appropriation to study the conservation and open space potential of hundreds of acres of federal land – and adjacent protected lands – across Bellingham, Franklin, and Medway.

BETA and the Meadowlands Initiative will make a formal presentation at 7 pm. The balance of the evening will be for questions and answers and informal discussions with attendees. The information gathered will be included in a final report for the three towns later this year.  For those unable to attend, information and an online survey are planned to be available on the Meadowlands website in early May.  For more information, contact Alan Earls, Charles River Meadowlands Initiative at alan.r.earls@gmail.com.
