Metacomet Land Trust PO Box 231 Franklin, MA 02038

Would you like to help Metacomet care for its properties or study the plants and animals on conservation land?

We would love your help!

We are currently planning several activities outdoors where you can make a visible difference. We also need help running social media, events, and attending town committee meetings throughout our 15-town region. Many of our volunteer opportunities can be done at your own pace and some can be done from your own home!

Outdoors, we can always use hands to help certify vernal pools, care for our pollinator meadow, and do trail maintenance in several locations. Throughout the year, we also monitor conditions at conserved properties and plan for future conservation projects. Some of these outdoor projects may qualify for either community service hours or Scout or other youth group recognition.

Off the trails — either on virtual platforms or in town halls — we follow Open Space and Planning decisions in our towns. We also can use help spreading the word about Metacomet through social media and the press.
